hi john - i recognise some of your pics! shame you're leaving the yardbirds but you'll do great going alone! great voice, great guy! i saw the yardbirds as u know last year and it was one of the best gigs i've seen. if you ever need a slightly greying drummer i'm your man! hope to see you again soon (preferably with signed album under arm!)
Dear John, I respect your decision to leave the Yardbirds, but have to tell you that I've never seen a live show as great as the Yardbirds performance at Moe's Alley in Santa Cruz, CA in 2007. I'll never forget it, and you were a huge part of what made that evening so special. I'll be following your solo career, but I'm saddened that the once-in-a-lifetime shot at seeing the Yardbirds that night will truly happen only once in my lifetime. Best to you always, Deborah Windisch
hey john, hope you're well your stuff sounds great!i dont know where you are at the moment (UK/USA) but any chance of seeing you live again round England, with your new songs?
really love your cd john. it has a beautifull retro/feelgood vibe to it. Great to see you again at the yardbirds gig. congratulations on your marriage too. god bless, veronica
John, was an absolute pleasure to meet you and I can say with certainty that I speak for all of us here by wishing you all the best fortunes on the coming venture and the future ahead. I will be searching out your solo album very soon. I look forward to speaking again.

I pre-ordered the CD and it arrived in the mail a couple days ago. Can't stop listening! I dare anyone to crank up "We All Belong", and sing it without smiling. Great work, John!
I was at The Yardbords/Zombies gig at Gateshead last Sunday night and it was absolutely SUPERB - the band are a very talented group of musicians and singers, especially the nimble-fingered Ben King, Billy Boy and of course the cute John Idan who reminds me of a young pageboy!
It's hard to believe that the current line-up haven't been together from the start!
THANKS GUYS FOR A TREMENDOUS NIGHT!!! I'm looking forward to the next gig up north!
Hi John, saw you with The Yardbirds and The Zombies in Dartford and bought your new CD, which you kindly signed for me. Just wanted to say how very impressed I am with it. You explained to me that it was "different, and quite diverse" and I was unsure what to expect, as I'd only seen you up front with the Yardbirds. On first listen, it really caught my attention, and I noticed quite an Isley Brothers feel to some of the tracks. After a few plays, the tracks really stood out on their own strength - you've really put lots of good stuff on there. Wishing you lots of success - I'm sure you'll do very well with your solo work. Hope to see you again soon.
Hey! Just so you know, I'm the bird who had the black and orange 60s dress in the front row of the gig in King's Lynn haha! Glad you liked it :D I must be the only modern day mod for miles and we must of been the only teenage girls there out of our own free will! Anyway, like I said to you, the gig last night was awesome (and no offence to the zombies, who i love dearly, you lot were that lil bit better). Shame everyone was seated 'cause me and Emma were dying to get up and dance!! Got some great photos and videos though, good on ya!Just thought I'd show my appreciation...Much Love, Stay Cool, Liz xxxx
been buying y'birds albums since '65 the current line up is by far the best...saw you in South Park(Pa.)in Aug.07...fantastic night..."Turn into Earth",followed by "What do you Want" ...my 2 faves,well...plus most of Birdland....Your vocals fit perfectly, Jim's a powerhouse,Chris is so solid, BillyBoy's a super harp man and showman,Ben IS A YARDBIRD,and that Gibson is THE coolest-sounding bass. I'll be disappointed if I don't get to see You this year. Live at B.B.King's is the all-time best live album..and I've been buying music since 1960(I was eleven when I got the Everly Bros.single "Lucille"...and have been playing geetar and listening to every- thing from Muddy and Wolf to Tom Waits Ry Cooder,Buddy Miller,Emmylou,Duane Eddy,BO DIDDLEY(daily!!!)Slim Harpo, and of course the YarDBirds!!! Thanks for your GREAT efforts, guys!!! JonnyClairton
Wow! Been a long time. I have a picture of us playing with Jim McCarty. That was when you guys were doing the Station Tavern gig back in the day when I used to come over from the States and you guys would invite me to sit in. Those were fun times! I always loved your tone! Do you still have that old tape echo?
John what happened? Me and Ali were waiting at the airport with our equipment last year ready to tour the states and you went without us! How on earth did you manage without us? Anyway we are still available should you need us but we can only do it during school holiday time between cleaning the toilets and fixing the computers, hope thats ok? Lots of love Steve and Ali
